Swines and dead people

Posted by: onlinenewsman on: October 11, 2009

This video, previously released by the Jpost, supposedly explains that the accusation against Israel, made by a Swedish newspaper, are false, and that it’s physically impossible to harvest organs from dead bodies.

An internet source is trying to disambiguate the video, calming that the man in the video is not a doctor, nor is the translation in the subtitles accurate, and that the man is talking about the swine flu.

Israel calling

Posted by: onlinenewsman on: September 30, 2009

Israel is a mysterious country. It’s a mess, but it’s also a beautiful country, full of holiness.  It’s a marvel they still exist. The war and all that, since there’s constant stress of various form. A progressed and progressive country stuck in the deserts of Islam.

I keep reading the most interesting articles and news coming from the mid-east; it’s a brave new world.

Should I respect the Jewish people of Israel for their bravery? Should I look down on the Zionists for abusing the people of Palestine?

Arabs are brave, especially the residents of Gaza; since they’re being oppressed by a well oiled war machine, that has a strong self survival will (coming for the human error of the European past). But how will the world look if the laws of Islam become the way of the world.

In God They Trust

Shas MK Nissim Zeev.

Shas MK Nissim Ze'ev.

I just can’t get enough of this! Check out the Jpost’s article on how Israeli parliament member,  wishing to take the American currency standard of ‘trusting’ in God one step further, wants  Israeli currency to affirm that God created the world.

Nissim Ze’ev has submitted a private member’s bill that would require Israel to print on its currency the phrase “We believe in the creator of the world” in the hopes of promoting Israelis’ faith. I first thought this was some kind of joke, but I was wrong.

“Coins and bills are a central feature of our lives, and it is appropriate that the bills issued by Israel should have a reminder of Jewish belief, so that even those who do not follow the mitzvoth (ONM: a word used in Judaism to refer to the 613 commandments given in the Torah and the seven rabbinic commandments instituted later for a total of 620. The term can also refer to the fulfilment of a mitzvah) will receive a reminder of this basic aspect of Israel’s faith”, explained Ze’ev.

He added that similar statements appear on other countries’ currencies, although he and Shas (Ultra orthodox Israeli right wing party) officials could only think of the American example.

The bank said that the proposal was not feasible for a country characterized by a diversity of religious minorities, while even among the Jewish population views on religion and the state differ. The proposed phrase would hurt the feelings of various segments of the country’s citizens, concluded the bank. Furthermore any words added to the banknotes would have to be translated into English and Arabic. Funny? Indeed.

American housing project demand is rejected

Posted by: onlinenewsman on: July 19, 2009

PM Binyamin Netanyahu responded to American demand to put an end to a housing project built in Jerusalem. His response was “Jerusalem is the unified capital of Israel and the capital of the Jewish people, and sovereignty over it is indisputable”. This was his response to US’ demand to stop the works on housing projects that are built in the dispute area.

Netanyahu added: “Hundreds of apartments in the west of the city were purchased by Arabs and we didn’t get involved. There isn’t’ any prohibition against Arab residents buying apartments in the west of the city and there is equally no prohibition barring the city’s Jewish residents from buying or building in the east of the city,” Netanyahu said, adding “That is the policy of an open city that is not divided”.

Netanyahu went on about how he could not accept the notion that Jews will not be able to buy apartments specifically in Jerusalem. He said that if this situation was to happen in purchasing apartments in New York or London, an international outcry would burst.

Mahmoud Abbas was reported to tell Americans how allowing Jewish housing in the Muslim neighborhoods would shift the demographic balance in east Jerusalem.

The compound, acquired by American businessman Irwin Moskowitz in the 1980’s, originally belonged to Amin Al-Husseiny, a Mufti Haj, and later functioned as a hotel (between the years 1945-1967, this period was ended by the Six Day War).

Most recently the site was rented to Jerusalem border police, and functioned as a base.

My opinion is that Netanyahu’s response might get Israel in some hot water. The US government might fail to see that Netanyahu’s comments are an attempt to win some public support, from both camps. The right wing is welcoming Netanyahu’s refusal to give up territories in Israel’s capitol, while the left openly embraces the Prime Ministers invitation for a co-existence of Israel’s and mostly Jerusalem’s Jewish and Muslim communities.

Critics accuse Netanyahu of possibly drawing in unnecessary heat on US government’s, and setting back the peace process by a few more steps.

Currently the only option the people of Israel have is to wait and see how this all turns out. The PM is clearly following an instinct of his own, while every one just stand beside, waiting for the conclusion.
This is not Netanyahu’s first time as a prime minister, and he is now trying to act differently, mending the mistakes of the past, in search for common appreciation, or maybe something all together different, it seems that only time will tell.

local news update

Posted by: onlinenewsman on: July 9, 2009

Today in the local news:

Many woke up today only to discover that the city was covered with smog. This was due to local petrochemical plants dumping leftover gas into the air. This is a catastrophe by any means, since the effect of their action is never ending cancer, all around, 24\7, tons of it.

Speaking of cancer, Movie actor Omar Rocco died today, on the porch of his multi-million dollar mansion, on the hill tops of Beverly Hills. He was 98, and apparently died in his sleep. We wish him good luck and all best on his new journey.

David Le-Maio made a few people LOL today, when he left his house, and forgot to wear clothes. Yes, he was all buffed and tanned, oiled up, and ready to go. The comedian later told the local news that he was NOT on drugs, and that the only reason for this event was the promotional attempt of his latest movie “Tied Up on a Car Top”.

The local police reported that sometime last night a group of yet unknown individuals broke into 12 jewelry stores on the main street (and the corner of Lafayette), taking 16 tons of gold, 5 pounds of silver, and 11 ounces of cocaine. Some of the stores tried to report stolen diamonds, but later, realizing that they were African blood diamonds, they said the claim was a mistake.

Chizzo Nation Tattoos are coming up with the sale of a lifetime.  When buying two tattoos and a toe piercing, you will receive two square feet of spare skin, taken from the surpluses of their next door neighbors, the All Well Clinic. This mega sale will go on for the next few weeks, but since the amounts of loose skin are limited, we at Online News Agents recommend to go there, pronto.

If you’re still tracking the coffin of late Michael Jackson, the word is out that it’s being hauled to 53rd and 3rd. This has been reported by a few local news channels. Speculations continue about the final resting place of the deceased star.

Army officials said today that the suicide rates in the reserve forces are escalating quickly, and that this is a huge concern among the top ranks. News of this kind tend to give the army a very bad reputation.

In other news, my car broke down, leaving 200 people homeless. They wanted to live in m car, but I gave it away to goodwill. Just kidding :) I will never give up my car!
